Our passion for the early years combined with over 30 years of experience in the field of early childhood education has given us the reputation as a model early years institution. As the first stand-alone IB World School kindergarten in Thailand and the first IB PYP school in Nonthaburi, we are excited about the possibilities for growth that lie ahead.

We take play quite seriously at MYIS International School! Children are given the time, space and opportunity to learn through play – the fundamental force in early childhood education.

What is the point of acquiring knowledge if it cannot be used to benefit others? Our character development program teaches children that learning is a collaborative process and that values such as cooperation, respect and unity are necessary for learning to occur.

Smartboards, iPads, personal computers and an online library catalog – these are just a few of the ways we are integrating the latest technology in the early years and primary years. It’s more than just “screen time” as we help children explore and create through the use of technology!

Family-Centered Environment

Our warm and open atmosphere make families feel like welcomed community members. From the beginning, our classrooms have always been an open environment where parents can enter, observe and become valued partners in the education of their child. Our parents also play a key role by assisting as classroom volunteers, supporting their child’s transition and organizing school-wide events.

At MYIS, parents are not forced to say bye to their child at the classroom door. Our carefully planned separation process makes the adjustment both smooth and purposeful for the child and parent alike. We notice that if this process is handled well, children are able to take risks and establish trusting relationships more comfortably in the future.

We are there to support you when your child transitions to his or her next school. Our school leaders work at length with families and other schools to assure your child receives placement in the future school of their choice. Even after the move, we are always available to provide advice and guidance for you and your child.
Our small class sizes and low student-teacher ratios allow our children to receive individualized attention and ensure their needs are met.
