School Uniforms

At MYIS, we want students to feel comfortable, confident, and proud of being part of our community. Our dress code and uniform guidelines are designed to balance self-expression with a sense of belonging, helping students focus on learning while showing school spirit.

Dress Code
Students are encouraged to make positive clothing choices that reflect both individuality and respect for our school community. To support this, we ask that:

  • Clothing avoids inappropriate or profane language or images.

  • Pajamas or nightwear are only worn during special events such as Spirit Week.

  • Outfits cover the midriff and upper thighs at all times.

  • Appropriate footwear is worn every day (slippers and slides are not permitted).

  • Tennis shoes are worn on PE days.

  • Middle School students change into regular clothes after PE class.

PYP Uniform Polo

Optional school uniform worn Monday to Thursday for PYP students.

MYP Uniform Polo

Required school uniform worn Monday to Thursday for students in grades 6 to 10.

P.E. Uniform

To be worn by all students during P.E. days.

Uniform

In the Middle Years, students are expected to wear the MYIS uniform top each school day. This shared look helps build school spirit, a sense of unity, and pride in being part of the MYIS community.

Uniform requirements include:

  • A turquoise or purple MYIS polo shirt.

  • Shorts or pants of the student’s choice, with a preference for black or beige.

  • Sport shoes to ensure students are ready for active play and PE.

  • Please note that Crocs and flip-flops are not permitted.

On PE days, students should wear the MYIS sports uniform. On Fridays, students may dress in “Spirit Wear” — any shirt with a MYIS logo.
