This week, our students proudly showcased their learning in the arts through the Winter Concert and Art Exhibition. These events served as meaningful culminations of the skills and concepts they have developed throughout the semester, offering families a window into their creativity, growth, and artistic understanding.
In Primary Years, students presented artwork that reflected their identities, interests, and the world around them. Their pieces demonstrated how they observe their environments, express their emotions, and connect their learning to everyday experiences.
In the Middle Years, students grounded their artwork in social causes they care about. After exploring the history and purpose of graffiti, they created their own symbolic designs representing the issues that matter to them. This allowed them not only to build technical skills but also to use art as a platform for advocacy and meaningful expression.
During the Winter Concert, students shared the musical development they have been working on this semester. From strengthening foundational skills to performing more complex pieces, their confidence, teamwork, and growth as young musicians were evident on stage.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, courage, and dedication our students demonstrated—truly embodying key aspects of the IB Learner Profile, such as being risk-takers, communicators, and inquirers through their artistic expression and performances. Their ability to reflect on their work, take ownership of their learning, and share it confidently with the community highlights their growth as balanced, open-minded, and principled learners.
