Key Health Guidelines
For the well-being of our entire community, please review these important health guidelines.
For Medical Administration:
- Prescription medication can only be administered by the school nurse after a Medication Authorization Form is completed and submitted by a parent. All medications must be stored in the Health Office.
- Over-the-counter itch-relief ointments may be given by the nurse.
- Tylenol can be administered only after a parent provides verbal confirmation via phone call or message.
- Any other medication requires both a doctor’s prescription and a completed authorization form.
Highlights of our Sickness Policy:
- To prevent the spread of illness, please keep your child home if they are unwell. A day of rest helps them recover faster and protects other students and staff.
- Students should not be sent to school if they have:
A fever over 100°F (38°C)
Difficulty breathing, severe pain, or a severe cough
Vomiting or diarrhea
Signs of an infection (e.g., earache, red or crusty skin, eye infection)
Live head lice
