Parent Math Workshop

Yesterday we had an eye-opening math workshop with Caty Romero. The biggest takeaway for parents and teachers was the importance of visualization in math. Ms. Caty stressed the benefits of students being able to visualize the problems they solve, in order to deeply understand and be flexible with math. We had pencil and paper in hand throughout the workshop, with Caty taking us through a series of number talks and problem solving.
